About Us

Founded on January 1st 2000 by father and son Malcolm and Stephen Gentry, Gentry Restorations Ltd has firmly established itself as a major restoration company specialising in the world famous Bugatti marque.

From its humble beginnings its increased workload soon forced the move from its first premises at The Black Barn in Adwell into a spacious and modern factory in Wornal Park Worminghall enabling an expansion program of more tool room machinery, welding and heat processes, storage space for dissembled components and increased workshop floor space for cars.

During its expansion Gentry Restorations acquired its reputation of being a friendly and cooperative family run business which provided the service its clients needed. One major factor stands out above all and is regarded to be the most important to its clients is its ability to restore these wonderful cars back to there former specification and appearance. Repeatedly there are clients who use their restorations services to increase their collection of cars simply because of there style of work and exacting standards.

Being active supporters of owners who frequently use their cars on rallies around the globe, often sponsoring events by providing support crews, they have gained invaluable experience with many problems associated with the Bugatti motor car, this experience is continuously employed to improve the reliability of the end product which is usually to the specifications Bugatti made them in there day.

Apart from major whole vehicle restorations there are many owners who have various individual parts being restored or repaired from fuel system air pumps, complete engine overhauls, chassis repairs etc no job is too small. There are many owners who actively service and repair their own cars who frequently contact Gentry Restorations for help and advice which is always freely given.

Acquiring many patterns and drawings from Raven Engineering in 2003 the production of Brescia parts began not as a long term plan but just to assist in restoring a client's car, before long they were inundated with request to supply parts on a regular basis which in turn led to more workshop projects. They are now internationally regarded as Brescia experts with 25% of the workshop space taken up with Brescia projects of all types being repaired or restored.

The parts production range is continuously updated as the need to replace un-restorable or missing original parts continues. As and when the parts are required every effort is made to reproduce them to the same specifications as the original Bugatti component using original drawings or copying the unusable part.

With a dedicated and skilled team of 11 (2 admin 9 engineering) which has over 90 collective years of Bugatti engineering experience including its own in-house skills training program linked with government training schemes it continues to provide a restoration service to an appreciative international client base.
